Alessandro Michele Takes Gucci To Westminster Abbey
Leave a CommentThe location seemed as the sincerest compliment by Michele’s love of England, but not only the location did the magic. The collection showed the English tradition in items like a Union Jack sweat, punk plaids and trench-coat – all seem through the hyper-coloured, hyper-eclectic sensibilities of the anglophile Italian.
Michele has made a seriously upping on the accessories game since he joined the Gucci brand in 2015, and he certainly didn’t disappoint on the Resort 2017 collection. From hats, earrings and glasses to handbags and multi-strap pumps – I cannot wait to get a closer look of this collection.
Surprisingly Michele had placed hand-embroidered cushions on each seat in the Abbey – and the lucky show-goers got to keep them. Everything – especially the collection – was pretty punk amazing!
